We’d go anywhere for the love of strawberries, but thankfully we didnt have to go too far. There are a number of strawberry farms around Panchgani and Mahableshwar which serve the purpose.
This year we picked Bilare Farm in Panchgani. They have a huge area dedicated to strawberry farming along with cabbage and broccoli.
We were given a carton to carry on the picking and then were charged as per the weight of strawberry collected. It was fun to cater to the fields and gather berries in different shapes and sizes. The cool and pleasant climate added to the fun. Vast expanse of multi layered step farms along the slope of the hill was a sight to behold.
Along with picking strawberries and eating them raw one can also enjoy the strawberries with fresh cream or ice-cream at the farm or at Mapro nearby
